When in the presence of remarkably well-crafted products, a euphoric feeling immediately overtakes the senses. A powerful sensation that’s substantial yet sensual, palpable yet difficult to define: a true je ne sais quoi.
In the decorative hardware world, only one company brings this same feeling to the bath: THG-Paris. THG’s artisans tool, cast, mold and finish each of their exquisite products by hand using celebrated techniques passed down through generations. The beauty, the craftsmanship, the sophistication – the qualities of these immaculate objects seem to transcend the everyday world, possessing a unique inner glow.
Handcrafting exquisite faucets and accessories to the highest possible standards, THG turns to world class brands to help make their inspired creations; world-renowned ateliers like Lalique, DAUM, Baccarat, Christofle and Manufacture de Monaco. With rich histories rooted in masterful and meticulous craftsmanship, these recognized brands leave no detail overlooked, creating products of the highest quality and splendor for the most discerning tastes. And in turn, these brands entrust THG with their reputations because they know only THG is capable of meeting their extraordinary standards.
Oftentimes, THG’s collaborations begin with an idea from these brands. An exceptional detail, embellishment or design can inspire THG to craft it into a unique collection – and experience – for the home and bath. Highlighting these renowned partnerships, here is a snapshot of some of THG’s most beautiful luxury brand collaborations.
Pomme (the French translation for “apple”) is a beautiful, sculptural design that has been a part of Lalique’s collection for many years. With handles in the shape of alluring apples, the original Lalique design remains almost untouched, set on understated, round metal pedestals.
For more than a decade, THG has collaborated with Lalique, a brand internationally recognized for creating crystal objects d’art, jewelry and beautiful porcelain.
A bold work of artistry, Rose’s delicate DAUM crystal handles offer beautiful variations in color, with no two alike and each piece signed.
DAUM, the legendary French art crystal atelier celebrated for its mastery of the pâte-de-verre technique, uses a lost-wax method to make a mold for the sculptural elements incorporated into THG’s Rose.
Bearing the distinctive Baccarat imprint, Pétale de Cristal offers beautiful, deep colors in opulent crystal. Each translucent, lotus flower-shaped handle becomes a true bathroom jewel that could only be conceived by THG.
Beyond Crystal is the first THG series to incorporate an optional LED system. This soft accent allows the vibrant, pure Baccarat crystal to glow with the gentle ambiance of soft candlelight.
Baccarat is internationally renowned for their unparalleled quality, clarity and intense colors in crystal, and THG has translated this mastery flawlessly in numerous collaborations. Both THG and Baccarat have been awarded the prestigious EPV Quality Label, illustrating that THG’s brand and standards are in perfect symmetry with the crystal atelier.
Manufacture de Monaco
A finer example of THG’s meticulous crafting capabilities could not be better translated than with THG’s two interpretations of Manufacture de Monaco’s iconic designs. First, THG re-imagines the Alhambra pattern with Monte Carlo, which incorporates 24 karat gold, porcelain and Swarovski® crystals.
Second, the purity of Wedding is derived from Manufacture de Monaco’s Wedding collection of fine tableware to create a stunning, dazzling collection.
Created in collaboration with the esteemed porcelain house Manufacture de Monaco, both collections bear the official title of “Purveyor by the appointment of His Serene Highness the Prince of Monaco.”
Adorned with intricate lotus leaves and delicate palmettes, THG’s Malmaison translates this iconic Christofle pattern into pure artistry for the bath.
Christofle, the premier designer of French silver and decorative arts in jewelry, tableware and home accents, entrusts two of their most iconic patterns to THG.
We are thrilled to share another award for THG’s newest product! The lavish Monte Carlo bath collection in collaboration with Manufacture de Monaco was recently awarded the Connecticut Cottages & Gardens (CTC&G) Innovation in Design Award – 2015 Reader’s Choice Award for Best Product Design! This announcement was made at the 2015 CTC&G Innovation in Design Awards’ ceremony on May 19th at The Greenwich Country Club. THG’s Monte Carlo was the winner against 10 other products in the category!
This award is fresh off its debut at Maison & Objet Americas in Miami and ICFF, which just wrapped up in New York City! It is no surprise that THG’s Monte Carlo won! Monte Carlo is a dramatic, chic-baroque bath series in collaboration with the esteemed porcelain house, Manufacture de Monaco, bearing the official title of ‘Purveyor by the appointment of His Serene Highness the Prince of Monaco’. The lavish collection incorporates fine porcelain and Swarovski® crystals combined with 24 karat gold to create intricate multi-layers that reveal a very detailed and structured design reminiscent of antique filigree jewelry.
THG’s Monte Carlo series is presented in two variations, 24 karat yellow gold decorated with deep black Swarovski® crystals and 24 karat white gold adorned with clear Swarovski® crystals. Each handle is a true work of art and pure craftsmanship, featuring multiple patterns in 24 karat gold, Swarovski® crystals and sculpted brass. Monte Carlo offers two spout options that take the range from elegantly eclectic to classical sophistication. First, a classic fluted spout with detailed beading to match the base of each handle communicates a more traditional or purest style. Second, THG’s baroque Cygne swan spout creates a larger statement with elegance and flair to create a bathroom setting that is palatial or even avant-garde. In the graceful form of a delicate swan, the hand chased artistry on the solid brass faucetry shows that no detail is left ignored.
The Christofle Studio recently held an exclusive, private reception for their VIP clients to celebrate Christofle’s exquisite bath fitting collections in collaboration with THG-Paris: Collection O by Studio Putman and Collection Malmaison.
Located in West Hollywood in the center of the Design Quarter in Los Angeles on Melrose Place among the hottest designers – and restaurants, the Christofle Studio was also excited to unveil their new, remodeled studio as well as the permanent installation of Collection O by Studio Putman in their guest powder room. The newly designed space is completely remodeled with beautiful new carpeting and soft patterned fabric on the walls, creating a European elegance. The new “studio” layout gives designers a comfortable atmosphere to work on their current projects.
The intimate event brought out some of the most prolific designers in the area including Fernando Diaz, Jean Pinto, Suzanne Furst and Beth Hakes. Hosted by Ofelia Keller and Janette Buenrostro of Christofle Studio and Juan Martin of THG-Paris, guests sipped champagne and enjoyed light hors d’oeuvres while they learned about the inspiration and expert craftsmanship of Collection O by Studio Putman and Collection Malmaison.
A good time was had by all!
THG-Paris is proud to announce the Downtown Collection, a selection of new and existing signature designs with an urban aesthetic. This avant-garde collection features designs from some of the most prolific names in the design industry, including Jamie Drake, Olivier Gossart, Andrée Putman and Alberto Pinto. Using simple and sleek lines, pure curves and subtle shapes, every design in the series incorporates the same manufacturing standards that sets THG apart. Take a closer look at the standout designs below.
Introduced just last spring, the Anoa collection blends natural horn with brass to create an inviting, contemporary design. The widespread lavatory collection offers a contoured, angular spout, as well as a delicate, curved high spout. Skillfully crafted by combining eye-catching metal with delicate clear or black buffalo horn, Anoa has achieved a perfect marriage of these materials with remarkable finesse.
Also introduced this past spring, the Nano collection’s quiet, minimalistic design guides the water gently with seductive refinement. With a contemporary, sleek appeal, Nano’s clean style is perfect for any bathroom design. The faucet’s minimalist shape creates the impression of a fluid strand of polished steel contoured with a gentle curve.
Collection O by Studio Putman combines the talents of Christofle, the late Andrée Putman and THG. An embodiment of modern luxury, the famous ring was designed by Putman for Christofle in 2002 as part of the Vertigo collection. Her daughter, Olivia Putman, who heads Studio Putman, was instrumental in this striking reinterpretation. A beautiful, sculptural and fluid design, each ring twists at the bottom with a rounded effect and is used as a discreetly functional element in various areas of each bath fixture.
Le 11 by Alberto Pinto
With impeccable form and simplicity, THG’s Le 11 was created by the late Alberto Pinto, one of France’s pre-eminent tastemakers and legendary designers. The streamlined fixture’s enigmatic name refers to a mythical address which was located near Pinto’s practice and studio in central Paris, just near the Place des Victoires. As water flows from the spout, the fitting’s waterblade forms a perfect and harmonious 90 degree angle.
Contemporary and possessing a clean classic design, Spirit is a welcome addition to the modern bathroom. The Spirit’s grace makes a simplistic yet refined statement and has become a new standard in transition.
SO. puts a refreshing, updated spin on a long-time brand favorite and represents a collaboration between THG and French designer Olivier Gossart, best known for his dramatic hotel and residential interiors. The retro-modern waterfall spout is paired with Gossart’s updated vision of faucet handles in crystal, laser-engraved with “CHAUD” (hot) and “FROID” (cold) — bringing a high-tech, whimsical touch to the bath.
Defined by bold lines and crisp edges, Beluga is a perfect complement to the modern bathroom and a dramatic architectural statement through its simple yet sophisticated design.
As part of THG’s Cristal de Lalique Collection, the Bambou series is distinct in character and elegance. Contrasting shapes and textures create a dramatic yet beautifully sophisticated statement. Satin-finished crystal and elegant bamboo motifs gracefully compliment the bold contours of the spout. In addition to satin-finished clear crystal, the Bambou series is also available in Lalique satin-finished black or amber crystal.
The Profil faucet was designed for THG by the legendary designer Jamie Drake, whose designs showcase a penchant for the traditional and American glamour. The eyes are drawn to the sculptural handles of the Profil, embellished with inlays available in Lalique clear crystal, Lalique black crystal, and black onyx or metal.
Create a modern, architectural statement with the simple yet sophisticated designs of the Pure Collection, part of THG’s Contemporaine Collection. All THG products are meticulously handcrafted and available in more than 35 finishes.
